Local news just got more local. Now the site EveryBlock is geo-tagging news in 11 major U.S. cities. So you literally can track and read news stories reported in a one block radius. The site already compiles a whole range of community based content – from real estate transactions, to lost and found postings, to restaurant inspection reports (yes some restaurant inspection reports are eye opening).

It’s the next baby step in the evolution of individuals personalizing the Internet to create their own unique experience.
