MaxxForce: Ready to Drive
The Challenge
Navistar Engine Group, the driving force in diesel power, introduced its MaxxForce Big Bore Diesel Engine to provide a strong, yet fuel-efficient option to truck owners. With this engine came a different driving experience that required some explanation for new drivers.Manning was enlisted to create a video that would provide the operational information MaxxForce drivers need in an engaging and personal way.
The Solution
Our solution was to create a personalized narrative. One truck driver speaks directly to another, providing helpful tips and driving techniques for successfully operating the new MaxxForce engine.The video was shot in HD in the desert outside of Los Angeles to provide ample room for demonstrating the important issues of operating of this new engine. This location presented some other challenges in terms of downloading HD footage many miles away from electricity.
The resulting DVD was provided to all new MaxxForce Big Bore Engine owners, shown at trade shows and in Navistar showrooms.
