Recruiting the best and brightest employees is important for Stryker, a global leader in medical technology with 17-thousand employees in 120 countries. Like most career sites, Stryker was presenting information from the perspective of the employer—providing a listing of the current available jobs, with a static online “brochure” about the company.
The Solution
Our concept for the new www.stryker.jobs site was to design a site from the job candidate’s perspective. The goal was to increase traffic and dramatically increase employment applications from the type of individuals Stryker is looking to hire. The result is an intuitive site that uses color to distinguish different types of information, and allows candidates to search for job openings based on their interests or location—rather than the way most companies post openings. And video, also produced by Manning, is used to create an emotional connection with prospective employees.
